What do you love about your job?
I love sharing my passion, getting to know people and helping them reach their goals. It’s a mix of business and art: It keeps me organized but allows me to be creative at the same time.
During these interesting times, what keeps you inspired?
My students have kept me so inspired over the last few months. They have given me the confidence to start my own business. They have motivated me to keep pushing when times get tough and they have made me a better teacher, a better version of myself. As they continue to grow, I feel this rush of energy that makes me want to give them even more of me and what I have to offer. I know that dance has been an amazing emotional outlet for so many during the pandemic and knowing that I can offer people a glimpse of reality or a light at the end of the tunnel is so rewarding.
What’s coming up for you?
With most performance opportunities being shut down until further notice, I have put my heart and soul into my new business and I am so excited to see where it goes next. It continues to grow with every new season and I am learning so much about being an entrepreneur and how that plays a part in who I am as a leader.
I’m also working on a new show with my dancers that will bring a new light to contemporary dance but I can’t say too much about that one just yet.

I can sing the Alphabet backwards.
