What inspired you to become an artist?
At first it was a hobby I felt compelled to do but the more and more I was creating the more I realized it was a lifestyle that I had to take on.

During these interesting times, what keeps you inspired?
My need to express things and contemplate internal thoughts I have floating around my head and using it as an outlet and way of communicating with the world.

What do you love about your work?
I love that it’s something I can call my own. There was an amazing article I just read about Alber Elbaz where his fashion collections were compared to vaccines. Something easy to copy but difficult to create. I love that my art is something I created from a completely authentic place in my soul and can put out into the world to share. I love that it is limitless. It’s completely free and has no boundaries.

What has been one of your personal favorite creations?
My favorite creation was of Asbury Park in New Jersey, it was a building, so not my normal strong female theme. I loved the nostalgia I felt while creating it as well as the challenge to do something off my own beaten path.

You have done some really cool collaborations! Tell us about your most memorable one so far.
My most memorable was doing a branded content video shoot for Vans. I have always loved the shoes and filming my art for theme was so surreal.

Where can we find your work?
In private collectors’ homes around the world as well as several upscale restaurants and hotels.

Covid has affected us all in different ways. Can you share with us how this time has affected you and your business? And do you have a message to share with the community?
Covid sort of forced me to slow down and focus on the present. I had been reaching for the next best thing and trying to do too much at once. The silver lining for me was appreciating everything I have like my husband friends family and my golden doodle. In addition, it made me so grateful for collage, something no matter what is going on, I can do regardless and escape from reality for a few hours a day.

Tell us one fun and random fact about you.
I used to play the drums.

What advice do you have for someone wanting to start their own business? What is something you wish someone had told you?
My advice would be to go for it. Shameless self promotion can take you very far. Cold calls and endless hours of submissions got me where I am today.
